What is Chinese Medicine?

Chinese Medicine looks at a person's presenting signs and symptoms by way of Observation, Questioning and Palpation. This approach provides the practitioner with information to identify and diagnose systems out of balance.

In Western medicine we see descriptions such as ‘disease’, ‘illness’ or ‘sickness.’ Chinese Medicine interprets a 'disease' as an imbalance within the body. Acupuncture and other Chinese therapies are often combined to restore balance to the body. Acupuncture traditionally has offered relief to many conditions both of a  physical and emotional nature.

A personalised treatment prescription is formulated with the focus to strengthen and regulate the body's own healing abilities and work towards restoring optimal function for improved health. Traditional Chinese medicine is a system of medicine based on principles of harmony and balance.
